Judy Pyle, born in Korea, expresses pride in husband Spec. 5 Jesse A. Pyle who defended the Pleiku American installation during a Viet Cong assault. He fired on shadows along the perimeter, forcing explosives to fail along fortress walls. Eight attackers died and over 100 were wounded. Mrs Pyle, 31, and her three daughters live near Fort Ord.
