Fighter Squadron Movement To Airport Completion Soon
Arrangements are under way for the 194th fighter squadron of the California Air National Guard to move to Hayward airport by April. The unit of the 144th fighter group comprises four flights of F 51s a utility flight and a weather station with a strength of 45 pilots and about 300 airmen mainly from Eastbay cities. Collins and Crew Chief Glen McNab have been named contact representatives to inform local men ages 17 to 34 about benefits of membership as vacancies arise after the National Guard Bureau lifted ceilings on enrollments. Bohannon Dad's club was struck on Hathaway avenue in San Lorenzo Village late yesterday. She suffered severe facial and body bruises with a cut lip requiring stitches. Ramon M. Miranda of Horner road Alvarado drove east on Hathaway when the child ran into the street about 60 feet east of Via Arriba. Highway patrol officers found her on the south curb and noted impact marks on his car.
