Sabre jets down two MIGs off Korea coast

U S Air Force reported four Russian built MIG 15s attacked an RB 45 recon plane over the Yellow Sea and were shot down by F 86 Sabrejets west of Korea in international waters. Ex Husband Held in Town Farm Murder

Fort Dodge Iowa reports a Stratford farm couple Mr and Mrs Clifford Anderson found murdered in their home. Ex marshal Dilaré Brown 29 was arrested near the scene after walking from the farm and admitting the shootings. Brown said he came with a letter from Mrs Anderson permitting access to the children. He fired on Anderson then shot Mrs Anderson when she confronted him. Brown is jailed in Webster County.

FBI captures one of ten most wanted fugitives

Memphis Tenn based FBI agents nabbed Kenneth Darrell Carpenter who was on the ten most wanted list for bank robbery and parole violation. He surrendered without resistance near Arlington Tennessee after a tip led agents to tail his car. A Mauser pistol and sawed off shotgun were found, along with about 4 015 in a shaving kit. Carpenter’s companion J Eomphiely of Poplar Bluff Missouri faced fugitive from justice charges. Carpenter was arraigned and jailed on 50 000 bond.

Ivermore Man Escapes in Crash

William L. Carter, 32, of Livermore, escaped with minor injuries after his car spun out of control on Highway 50 near Livermore pass, struck a dirt bank, crossed the divided highway, and hit an embankment. He was treated at St. Paul’s Hospital and cited by the California Highway Patrol for driving without due caution.

Cops Raid Nude Party In Ashland Neighborhood

Ashland deputies arrested two youths ages 5 and 6 after finding them in a vacant home at 3893 Daryl Avenue. They forced entry, damaged walls with a grass sickle, smashed a window, removed drawers, and tossed a bedroom. Estimated damage around 26 dollars.

Secret Soviet A Bomb Tests Revealed in Paris Report

A French government spokesman announced four secret Soviet atomic tests between September and November, bringing total Soviet blasts in a four month period to six. San Mateo Man Arrested Over Forged Checks Case

Raymond Garcia Espinoza, 20, jailed for cashing forged checks in San Mateo and other East Bay cities. He allegedly admitted to police he cashed a Jan check at a Country Lieur on 201 Jackson Street under the alias Death Galindo. Checks were stolen in a December burglary in San Jose. Espinoza denied knowledge of the burglary and claimed the checks were given by a friend.
