San Leandro BART planning report backs Lincoln School site choice
The San Leandro Planning Commission adopted the BART Environs Study committee report after an eight month inquiry. The 32 members favored earmarking the Lincoln School site for high density residential development, while acknowledging an optional auditorium idea. Planners supported the committee, rejecting attempts to overturn its conclusions. The Lincoln site need not preclude future facilities elsewhere, including an aquatorium.
