Three Lorenzo Families Sue Over Flood Damage
Three Alameda County residents and spouses sue for nearly 20000 dollars in flood damages after Sar Lorenzo creek topped its levee. Plaintiffs Leroy A and Irene Wren Robert W and Merna Young and Clyne and Eileen Stoops accuse McGuire Fins Cities West and Hester and Western Pacific Railroad of faulty back construction and a dirt embankment that worsened the flood at East 14th Street and Mattoxytoad. In Sacramento a flood disaster in Yuba City spurred a federal court action seeking 1500000 in damages. Mrs Stanton Wins Divorce From Banker Husband
An interlocutory divorce was granted to Mrs Julia Stanton of Hayward in Alameda County Superior Court yesterday from her banker husband E K Stanton, after four children and three years of marriage. The court approved a property settlement assigning the family name to JM Stanton, the home at 8052 Hansen Road, two nearby Sgts, furniture and an automobile. Custody of their sole minor child James aged 16 was awarded to Mrs Stanton with $100 monthly child support and $162.30 monthly alimony. The suit cited extreme cruelty.
