Alameda officials clash on sewer hookup and parcel split
Alameda County supervisors heatedly debated Manuel Sousa's appeal of a planning commission ruling to split a 58 000 square foot parcel on Fairview Avenue Nayward into a 20 000 square foot unit without a sewer hookup. They postponed action to January while seeking possible minor subdivision ordinance amendments and discussed environmental reviews amid a state moratorium. The board also delayed a $150 filing fee for agricultural preserves, approved a $1 129 regional coastline planning payment, and planned self insurance for exposure with a projected $33 000 annual saving.
