Small boy died in San Leandro house fire tragedy
A six year old boy named Danny Scot Gustavson died in a San Leandro house fire yesterday afternoon. His mother Darie Gustavson and neighbors attempted rescues but were driven back by flames and thick smoke. The boy’s brother David, six, escaped from the bedroom window with their mother. Firemen estimated the house damage at about 324,000 and cited possible faulty wiring in a second blaze on Estudillo Avenue. No injuries were reported in the second fire.
