Potato harvest forecast shows modest rise in 1974 crop
The Agriculture Department predicted a final 1974 fall potato harvest of 252.4 million hundredweight, up 1 percent from 248.4 million last year. Maine and other big potato states are expected to produce mixed results, with Maine down from 33.28 million cwt last year.
