Air Pioneer Coffyn Dies In Palo Alto

PALO ALTO AP Frank Coffyn aviation pioneer and one of the Wright brothers original five exhibition fliers in 1910 died Saturday at 52. He learned to fly from Orville Wright and in 1912 took the first motion pictures from any airplane. He later helped make aluminum pontoons for aircraft and taught flying at Rich Field Texas during World War I.
