Fighting in Lebanon near Arkoub a pits guerrillas and army
Sporadic clashes erupt for a second day in the Arkoub area of southern Lebanon between Palestinian guerrillas and army troops. A guerrilla spokesman says one guerrilla was killed after an eight hour battle on Friday. Reports say guerrillas had pulled out of southern Lebanon at regional military commanders' request.

A 4.5 magnitude earthquake shook central Wyoming on Friday, with Thermopolis near the center of the tremor. Windows rattled and a ceiling cracked, but no serious injuries were reported as the National Earthquake Center tracked the event. Shocks were felt in Kitinear, Hudson, Pavilion and Landor.
