Two Die In Castro Valley Camper Fire
Two people perished in a fire inside a camper parked in a field in front of 6365 Palo Verde Road Castro Valley. Firefighters arrived shortly after 10 30 am and did not immediately identify the bodies of a man identified as Homer Metzger 43 and a female friend whose name was not recalled. The fire was extinguished and the cause is under investigation Battalion Chief Jack Lyon noted little fire damage to the camper or the truck. Mrs Cline reported the blaze to the fire department.
