Hold Man for Rape Investigation in Hayward Hotel

Police hold 22 year old William J. Kammerer of 800 Main Street Hayward after a 25 year old mother of five alleged she was raped three times yesterday. She told officers after staying at the Morrison home and walking in rain to a shack near a restaurant called Mocha Lunch where she later returned home. Prosecutors are reviewing the case as investigators seek additional evidence and a formal charge.

Kidnap Robber Gets $600 In Castro Valley

A Castro Valley daytime kidnapping and hold up resulted in $600 taken from Larry N. Farrell, 27, of Oakley Avenue, as he and Lena J. Gayouy, 158 Williams Street, were forced to drive to a store and back. The assailant, described as a short man with a gun, fled after warning Farrell to leave the area and not resist. Detectives pursued leads as the investigation continued.

Navy to Call 15,000 Naval Enlisted Reserves
