Six men including Richard Groulx of Dublin and four high ranking labor officials were fined 125 dollars and given six months probation by Oakland Municipal Judge Martin Puli after pleading no contest to disturbing the peace at Safeway national headquarters in Oakland last May. Police cleared the conference room as company officials declined to join the grape boycott sponsored by the farm workers organizing committee.

Jeep Crash Kills Fremont Couple in Livermore
A Fremont man Frederick J. Cox 34 and his wife Henre Jean Cox 13 were killed when their jeep rolled 430 feet down a slope near the Old Flynn Highway and Lawrence Radiation Laboratory.
