Readable fragments show Newark Youth Window Drive last Wednesday 7 30 to 9 pm raised about 160 dollars for stained glass windows in Newark City Hall. Boys and Girls Leagues hosted a summer dance at the high school gym last Saturday netting nearly 100 dollars and co sponsoring a bake sale at Safeway and old Russells stores. Newark High School sends 10 representatives to the district Asilomar conference August 21 to 22 and 20 with eight regular delegates.

Pupil Arrives From Stockholm for Newark AFS Exchange
Newark High School hosts Leonard Gustafson from Stockholm as part of the American Field Service exchange. He arrived on an American Airlines charter with other AFS students and will live with the Leonard Sharp family for the school year.
