Menlo Park blocks Dumbarton bridge start delay

Menlo Park City Council refused to sign a settlement, insisting changes deemed unacceptable, risking multi year delay to the $100 million Dumbarton Bridge project. Atherton, Menlo Park and Caltrans had agreed to settle a lawsuit targeting the environmental study. Citizens Against the Dumbarton backed the challenge. The plan would have kept a four lane bridge but narrowed Peninsula approaches from four lanes to two.
