Hayward Fire Response Time Disputed by Residents
The Daily Review reports Hayward firemen reached a car fire on Mission Boulevard in nine minutes, disputing residents who claimed a 25 minute delay. Investigators traced alarms from 3:52 to 9:52 am, noting a Fire Station 3 data gap and routine maintenance, with Station 2’s engine arriving at 9:41 am. The car burned severely as crews worked, and officials say unit scheduling during station repairs affected response.
