Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Duetch of San Leandro celebrate six decades of marriage with a surprise party hosted by Adeline Baptiste and Mary Gata. About 45 friends and relatives attended, including daughters Mrs. Allison Radman of Castro Valley and Mrs. Paul Black of Chicago, six grandchildren sent best wishes, and the couple’s long life in Chicago San Francisco Hayward and San Leandro was recalled. Mrs. Duetch has kept busy making jewelry since retirement.
An August 25 square dance event at Mount Eden High School in Hayward raises funds for the Muscular Dystrophy Association. The Northern California Square Dance Association sponsors the evening with professional callers and three dance teams leading. Proceeds go to KBHK-TV staff during the September 3 Jerry Lewis Labor Day telethon.
