Cops Nab Bad Check Suspects In Castro Valley
Two East Bay men Gerald B. Zierenberg and Ronald LeRoy Alien are jailed in Alameda County on investigation of forging and cashing stolen payroll checks. Deputies followed them after they were seen entering and leaving Al's Bar on Castro Valley Boulevard. A bartender said he cashed an $80.20 check for Zierenberg and two similar payroll checks valued at $28.34 and $300 were found in the car. Checks were reported stolen from Infect Construction in Martinez where Zierenberg once worked.
