Oro Loma Seeks Joint Use Deal for Hayward Plant
Oro Loma Sanitary District proposes a three-way agreement with Hayward and Castro Valley for joint use of the Ora Loma sewage treatment plant under construction at Grant Avenue San Lorenzo. The latest plan, costing 1.84 million dollars funded by a 1947 bond issue, would set flat charges for Hayward and Castro Valley and aim to be fair to all three parties while negotiations continue.

Boys ages 10 to 16 in the San Lorenzo area are invited to attend the state amateur baseball championship semi finals at Oubs' baseball park this Saturday afternoon. Bus transportation and admission are provided by the San Pu Lions Club. The event, sponsored annually by the service group, urges interested boys to register at Village Sporting Goods in the Model Shopping Plaza San Lorenzo or with the Marlin and Village school playground directors. Buses depart from the Model Shopping Plaza at Lilka at 9 am Saturday morning.
