Forecaster notes fog likely early with high cloud cover. Tonight will be clear to partly cloudy, winds light to moderate. Tomorrow skies will stay mostly clear with temperatures near mid to upper fifties. afternoon west winds around 12 to 34 knots.

The prosecutor, Gideon Hausner, labeled Adolf Eichmann an inveterate liar and central figure in Nazi genocide. He argued Eichmann was the key instrument in the project to exterminate six million Jews, challenging the defense that Eichmann played only a minor role. He dropped the plate Saturday in 46 feet of water while fishing near a buoy about eight miles west of St. Petersburg Beach in the Gulf of Mexico. A new set would cost about 125 dollars. He offers a 25 dollar reward for the plate and claims to know where it sank, describing its approximate location.
A Los Angeles poll among Talwich party workers and GOP leaders tests Richard Nixon as the party’s strongest candidate for California governor in 1962. The survey asks who is Nixon’s strongest Republican rival, whether any candidate can win, and which issues should be prioritized. Results will be released in about a week to ten days.
London report notes a school magazine poll suggesting girls favor restoration of the military draft, calling it beneficial. Wiley warns Americans to shift from launching pads in response to Soviet manned orbit, while Queen Mary passengers dislike vending machines onboard. New York police arrest Edward Kraski for stealing a Cadillac given as a birthday gift with a card wishing happiness.
Rudolph Wright, 31, was granted a stay of execution by the US Supreme Court justice on May day after the state Supreme Court delayed appeal. Associate Warden Waller Rehulf said the order was to allow court review. Wright was on death row for a 1950 holdup and murder case in California.
