Converted bomber crash kills two near Chicago homes
A two-seat North American B25 converted bomber crashed in a southwest Chicago neighborhood during an attempted emergency landing from Midway. Both occupants died, two homes burned with two women injured, and a firefighter treated for minor injuries. FAA said the plane took off at 3:25 p.m. headed west before signaling for an emergency landing and missed the runway.
