Big Storm Toll From East Weather Disasters
Violent weekend storms killed at least nine people across the Midwest and East while causing about 1 million dollars in damage in Cleveland Ohio. A four month old boy drowned with his parents near Fayette City Pennsylvania as floods rose. Other fatalities occurred in Maryland Pennsylvania and Ohio amid flash floods power outages and electrocutions. Evacuations were ordered around Morgantown and Pittsburgh areas as waters rose and tornadoes touched down in northern Ohio.

Ed Sullivan Hurt In Head-on Crash
SEYMOUR Conn July television star Ed Sullivan escaped serious injury after a two car head-on crash. Sullivan, driver of one car, complained of chest pains but X-rays showed no serious injuries. He was held for about two hours then expected to leave hospital. a CBS spokesman said he might not appear on Sunday. Joseph Palmucci 22 of Antonia in poor condition with possible jaw and hip fractures. Sullivan's son-in-law Robert Precht 26 and Ralph Cacace 34 listed in good condition with fractures and lacerations. Police said Sullivan was driving a 1956 Lincoln and collided with Palmucci's 1953 Pontiac on a winding road along the Naugatuck River. both cars wrecked and occupants assisted from the scene.
