Celestine Olivera a 59 year old San Leandro firefighter from Hayward was in good condition at Kaiser Hospital Hayward after an accident behind the San Leandro fire station. His 1969 Pontiac struck a fence. he was unconscious but later judged not to have injuries and was moved to Kaiser after first a San Leandro Memorial Hospital.
Market robbed of 600 dollars last night by an armed intruder at 1988 Tenth Ave. Two cash registers were emptied while proprietor Lynn Bryant was alone. A stocky white male, 10 to 35, wore gloves and had facial scars. Suspect fled in a red Toyota with a female driver. Beineman 18 Eastern Michigan University freshman last seen July 23. Collins held without bond after being charged with strangling her.
