Norfolk AP report says President Lyndon B Johnson is expected to crown Luci Johnson Azalea Queen at 2 30 p m Saturday in the Botanical Gardens with Secret Service watching. If he does not appear Gov Albertis Harrison Jr would crown Luci. Evidence in a separate federal case shows Thomas Catizone posed as a CIA agent and defrauded multiple victims including Laura Darris. He received five years in prison after a non jury trial.
Nikita Khrushchev reportedly marked his 71st birthday quietly with his family at his dacha about 30 miles from Moscow. Neighbors said his Moscow apartment was empty and no official commemoration took place as Soviet authorities erased the date from calendars after his ouster six months ago.

Lawrence D. Heller 42 buried in Golden Gate National Cemetery San Francisco with service held in Fremont. Survived by widow Viva Heller four daughters Mary Gail Eva Celorie and Sandra Heller three sons Michael Joseph and Ronald Heller two other daughters and seven great grandchildren plus mother and two brothers. Burial in Dallas Oregon.
MINNEAPOLIS AP The Le Sueur Minnesota canned goods firm iGreen Giant Co struggles over The Jolly Green Giant rock and roll song. Chairman Robert Cosgrove says lawyers wanted to squash it as a trademark infringement but marketing sees promo value. A nominal protest was filed to block further use of its name on sweatshirts if the Green Giant resurfaces. Cosgrove paused when a stockholder praised the song, noting the tune is unpopular yet tolerable for teen listeners.
Louis W Leese, grandson of the man who raised the first American flag in California, will be buried Monday in San Jose. Funeral services follow at Oak Hill Mortuary with survivors including his wife Ethel M. Leese of Cupertino, son Lauren W. Leese, and daughter Loretta Cain. Private funeral services for Bernice By Stroup 05 of 24067 Diadon Drive Fremont will be held Monday at 10 30 a m at Pratt Flier Mortuary Hayward Rev Robe De Wolf of the Hayward Methodist Church will conduct. She was a Missouri native and lived in Fremont 23 years. Survived by widower Ralph Stroup a son Bar Ki Stroup of Hayward a daughter Mrs M G Mosshuler of Fremont and two brothers and a sister.
Death notices list Lawrence Heller of 3501 Ronald Circle Erinmont and Berthe Stroup of Hayward, California, both deaths announced April 15, 1965. Heller was a native of Stroudsburg Pennsylvania with several children and grandchildren, funeral services at Golden Gate National Cemetery April 20 with viewing at Pratt-Feller Mortuary. Stroup, 65, born in Missouri, survivor relatives across California and Colorado, services at Garden Church of the Feather in Hayward April 17 with Reverend Robert Ketel officiating. private burial.
