Coast Guardsmen die in bridge crash near Baltimore

Six Coast Guardsmen were killed when their car sped off Curtiss Creek Bridge into the Patapsco River near Baltimore. The victims were unIDENTIFIED and believed to be Massachusetts residents except the driver from Pennsylvania. The cutter Chase, based in Boston, was tied up at the port. It took about seven hours to recover the bodies as authorities and Coast Guardsmen searched the river after a 2 a.m. crash.
