Hayward Woman Dies After Town Collision
A 32 year old Hayward woman Elizabeth Farnski died early today at Highland Hospital Oakland from injuries after a March 22 automobile motorcycle crash. She was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by Jan Lindevaled of Hayward who also injured lightly when struck by a car at the Tennyson Road and Sleepy Hollow Avenue intersection. Nedra Forte of San Leandro reported attempting a left turn onto Sleepy Hollow and was not injured.

Ambulance Car Collision Injures Three Near Tassa Jara Road
Three people were injured when an ambulance from Allen's Ambulance Service swerved to avoid a car and struck it on Highway 0 near Tassa Jara Road. Frank Damek and his wife Martha were treated for serious injuries, Cathy Sellick 16 suffered head cuts. All remained in satisfactory condition at Valley Memorial Hospital. Allen Holmes was uninjured.

About 1,500 registered nurses at 10 Kaiser hospitals and 14 clinics in Northern California win a 50 monthly pay raise under a two year contract retroactive to January 1. The 1969 salary range is 8250 to 9500 dollars with 8760 to 10200 dollars starting January 1 1970. Vacations increase to three weeks after four years four weeks after nine years and five weeks after twenty years. A nurse management committee will give nurses a voice on staffing and care standards. Disputes are resolved by the senior Kaiser physician and the association's executive director.
