East India Company Notice on Bond Exchange and Interest

The Court of Directors of the East India Company notify bondholders that on March 31 next all bonds bearing over three percent interest will cease accruing interest. Proprietors may bring bonds to Leadenhall Street by November 1 to be exchanged for new bonds at three percent. Interest on existing three and a half percent bonds will be paid when exchanged, with six months’ interest due on new bonds for purchases.
