In June 1742 London letters report John Waite, about forty, six feet tall, with fair hair and light eyes, vanished from the Bank of England on May 13 last. He is suspected of taking away East India Bonds of considerable value. Warrants issued. reward offers total five hundred pounds for his apprehension and delivery to the governor and company.
