French Parliament Registers Tax Plan for Dichenne-Denney

Paris September 9 report says the Parliament registered the King's Declaration to raise the Dichenne-Denney two shillings per pound on all estates. Remonstrances are urged to delay the levy to January 1, 1742. The Gens du Roy sought Versailles timing to present remonstrances, with the declaration registered yesterday. The tax begins October 1 next.
