A lengthy pamphlet excerpt urges Londoners to unite with the City’s leadership to save the woollen trade from decay. It argues that loss of trade drains money, harms all professions, and could crush national welfare, calling for urgent broad political action and an universal application of the woollen remedy.
In Mount's Bay Mazarion to load pilchards for the Mediterranean. On the previous Monday three boats were lost and four men drowned. In Deal the Royal Navy reports Greenwich and Guernsey in the Downs and Royal Escape sailing to the River. Arrivals include Hannah at Liverpool from Virginia and Joscon with Mary Richardson at Portsmouth from Dunkirk with wine and brandy for the Fleet.
