Mail from France brings dispatches for Grand Duke Tulany

March 14 Florence reports a courier from Vienna passed through the city en route to Leghorn with dispatches for the Grand Duke of Tuscany. It is said he will remain in the duchy for two to three months to settle affairs requiring his presence before a German tour, while the Great Duchess is expected to stay. An edit recently reduced Mounts of Piety funds interest from three and a half to three percent, with withdrawals allowed for those dissatisfied.
