City Court Order On Presentments Published In Papers

A December 1738 court order directs that all future presentments brought to the Court of Aldermen by Ward Inquests be promptly examined by city officers. They must report the nature and condition of each presentment to enable prosecutions, with expenses charged to the chamber. The resolution is to be printed in daily papers.
