Notice that the Stocks Market will be discontinued and closed on the 30th September under an order of Common Council dated 28 July. The Fleet Market near the Fleet will open on 20 September. Those wishing to take shops stalls or stands may apply to the Committee of Common Council at Guildhall London. meetings held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 4 pm until 30 September to arrange terms and encourage use of the new market. Rent will be free until Lady-day next, if applicants confirm plans by 1 March.
