Execution Ordered for Goodere Mahony White in Bristol
In Bristol on April 4 Capt Goodere Matthew Mahony and Charles White were sentenced to death for the murder of Sir John Dinely Goodere. Jane Williams was executed for murdering her bastard child. The other four were reprieved and ordered transported for 14 years. The three raiders who seized Sir John were fined 46s each, sentenced to twelve months imprisonment, and required to provide sureties for good behavior.
