Rev John F Moore Ends 40 Year Pulpit Career
Rev John F Moore will end his service as superintendent missionary and pastor with Furnance Run Chapel in late October after a 40 year career. He was ordained in 1923 at Kittanning Baptist Church and pastored three Green County churches, served 31 years as missionary for the American Sunday School Union in Armstrong Butler and Clarion counties, retired in 1948 after establishing 100 Sunday Schools, and opened the Christian Book Store in Kittanning in 1939 sold in 1954.
