Golden wedding anniversary honored at South Bethlehem home
Open house June 30 from 2 to 5 p.m. celebrated Mr. and Mrs. Beatty Shoemaker on 50 years of marriage. Their daughter Hattie Swyers wed Beatty Shoemaker on June 26, 1913 at the bride's home. They have five children Ozzie Lee Wayne Donald and Wilda Kells and 13 grandchildren with three great grandchildren. The couple, long in the lumber business now semi retired, hosted about 150 guests including relatives from Dalton Franklin Grove City New Kensington Ford City Ringgold Timblin and Ohio.
