Maloney Insane Case Leads to Asylum Commitment
The court acted after a psychiatric inquiry by Drs. McDonald and Turner in Judge Lindsay's chambers found Patrick Maloney insane. Maloney, a watchman at the Big Blackfoot Lumber yard, ranted about ownership and court authority, with his wife present and a seven week old child at home. He described himself as a king and claimed to be an officer. witnesses testified to delusions and past asylum stay, while the judge ordered commitment to the asylum.

Butte Man Killed in Telluride Death Mystery
Thomas Shepherd, formerly of Butte, died in Telluride Colorado after being thrown from a horse. Relatives John and James Shepherd of Centerville received a telegram noting foul play suspected and an inquest pending. The body was expected to arrive in Butte today.
