The Butte stage faces dwindling audience despite strong talent and rich claims. Patrons blame psychology over esthetics, noting some shows draw crowds while others flop. Critics cite “Secret Service” and “The Man from Mexico” as proof audience tastes vary. managers promise better attractions to win Seattle readers.
Commencing with a matinee tomorrow at Sutton's theater the musical extravaganza A Beggar Prince will run for four performances. Sixteenth century costumes will be worn with a lineup of specialties and a strong musical program. F H Wade appears in the role of the prince.
The Crawley company of San Francisco appears Friday and Saturday, November 30 and December 1, at the Grand Opera house. Repertoire includes Children of the Ghetto, A Colony for Divorce, and Gillette's Secret Service. The second titled play will have a Saturday matinee. T.
