Gold Coin Mining Company Faces Attachments Near Anaconda
A dispute among Gold Coin Mining Company directors near Anaconda has closed the plant under attachment. Two writs of attachment totaling $850 and about $1,400 were issued by creditors Mutte and Maciallum & Cloutier. Superintendent George T. Ingersoll was given a chance to settle, but no settlement occurred as Deputy Sheriff J. J. Walsh served the papers. The well developed mine once employed over 80 men, mostly Anaconda residents, before shutdown in 1898 and resumed in June, with more attachments expected.
