Filipinos Use Double Ended Train Raid Near San Fernando

In Manila on May 8 the Fili pinos ran a railway train with a locomotive at each end within sight of U S outposts. A native gang detached, ripped up rails, reboarded, and fled before capture. The Nebraska regiment requests temporary duty relief as only 375 men remain at the front.

Montana Supreme Court Reverses Kinder Case and Dismisses Others

A Hong Kong dispatch reported by the New York Journal Land Advertiser says M. Lawhon, brother of the Negros royal president, arrived with an introduction letter from Gen. Otis to procure steamers for trade under the American flag. Klondike fraud suspect turned over to authorities

Jo accuses of defrauding several persons by obtaining money by false pretenses. He was arrested and turned over to Canadian authorities after a failed rescue attempt in Engle. An initial transfer was made April 8 via San Francisco to Anthoritt Dawson and May Michael Escherage who claimed to represent capitalists seeking Klondike investments.

Tragic Death of 10-Year-Old In Teemer Nebraska

Mary Vinch, 10, daughter of a farmer near Teemer, Nebraska, committed suicide from heartbreak over the death of her soldier sweetheart George Hoar of the First Nebraska. She used her father's shotgun, left a note to her parents saying she could not bear the grief. Hoar died at Caloocan in battle, and Mary and George had attended the same country school nearby.

Water spouts from new well near Whittier in county

A new well near Whittier reached 400 feet and began to flow with a massive force. Workers reported an enormous volume of water erupting from the mouth, and the stream has continued since it started. The surrounding country is Hoodes and no method to control the flow has been found yet.
