Doctors J H Hunt and F B Gray pronounced him dead. Rev Father Claude M Ebner C S B of Dickinson ND was with Hurst on the scaffold. He was taken in the Catholic church half hour before execution. He directed burial in his wedding suit after. His wife two little boys his parents and other relations visited him for last time. He kissed his boys farewell and also his wife and parents brothers and sisters.
