A large fire destroyed the Montana Union car shops in Anaconda last night, with flames spreading rapidly from an oil saturated wooden interior. Fire crews fought the blaze despite an ice-choked plug hindering suction, and the loss is estimated around 4000 with insurance covering part. A separate house fire on Sixth and Chestnut caused minor damage and a dramatic escape by the occupants.
