London roast of Utarcon stirs Butte mining talk
In Butte, mining men dispute a London Financial Times clipping on Utah Consolidated Co's Highland Bay mine. The expert cites high costs and limited value, while locals cite tests by Frank Klepetko and R. T. White, asserting strong ore with 7 percent copper and potential $7 per ton net profit plus precious metals, challenging the London view.
