Five More Carriers and Three Additional Clerks Expanded Mail Service
The Butte post office gains five carriers and three clerks with $9,050 more funding since 1898, plus 13 new staff. Substations No 2 and No 3 expand access. Box rents drop sharply, and new 15 day paid leaves for clerks and carriers are set, with rotations to avoid disruption. A new business route district will see four daily deliveries, extending to most of the city and surrounding districts.
