Was Probably a Maniac Manhunter in Bay Area Murder Case
In San Francisco on June 12 authorities hunted Frank H. Cheeseman a homicidal maniac who escaped Napa State Hospital two weeks earlier as the prime suspect in the deadly assault on H. K. Bolden Hartford Insurance local manager at his Oakland home. Cheeseman formerly lived in Oakland where he lured and shot an elderly painter and wounded Mrs. Brooks and her daughter Miss Etta Payne now Mrs. Knick. he was reported near Mrs. Knick’s residence after the Bolden assault and was said to have threatened to kill her husband.
