Legal ruling in Colusa-Parrot vs Anaconda mining case
Judge Knowles dismissed Colusa-Parrot claims and favored Anaconda. The decision holds no union of veins between Colusa-Parrot and Anaconda, confirms the blue diagonal vein as separate, and finds the ore workings on the Anaconda vein within its own claim limits. The court orders judgment for costs in favor of Anaconda.

Barlow Minstrels At Grand Meet Tepid Notices
Morning papers suggest the Barlow minstrels now at the Grand offer many numbers that would hurt the act if omitted. External reviews also mock the collection while labeling the troupe as potentially the next president of minstrelsy. The gags and songs show a decrepit, chestnut flavor with tired specialties.
