A large crowd witnessed horse races at Ranchero Park with dissatisfaction over the start in the half mile dash between Aurora B and Coxey. Aurora B won after a near mishap on a turn, Coxey seen as disadvantaged by the start. Payouts: winners collected $1.20 more than their stake. First race featured Maud R Humbug and Vict Kid in a three-eighths heat series, Maud R winning heat one and Humbug heats two and three. Torpedo won the three-eighths race against Larry and Little Jim.
