Uneven Distribution Marks City Council Debate on Judge Appointments
City council votes reveal partisan wrangling over ward judge appointments for the April 1 election. Alderman Elderkin objects to perceived bias, while Mayor and others push for three Democrats, one Republican, and Labor in each ward. Language shows friction over fairness as lists are revised.
