Another Clerk Opposes 6 P.M. Shopping Movement
A clerk in a city store writes to Inter Mountain opposing the 6 o clock closing plan. He argues most workers oppose it as unfair to day workers and that employers may cut salaries or impose new conditions. He questions how salary, hours, and shopping access would work for clerks, grocery workers, and women with children. He notes unions regulate schedules but warn of future recourse and impact on employment.
