The War Department released exports and imports for the five principal Puerto Rico ports for May to July 1899. A slight trade surplus amounts to 547,882. Imports total 2,572,618 while exports reach 2,920,500. U.S. trade figures show 821,672 exported to the United States and 973,545 imported from it.
A Hong Kong dispatch to the Evening World reports Aguinaldo ready to surrender should Consul Wildman receive him at Manila. The Filipino junta in Hong Kong said Aguinaldo was urged last week to seek mercy from the United States.
London reports the cable between Aden and Zanzibar restored, but no clear details on Buller’s Ladysmith maneuver. Nov 29 Ladysmith siege status said provisions were plentiful and bombardment ineffective. Boer forces resume heavy shelling with a new siege gun Franchise, while Mafeking siege abandonment rumors remain unconfirmed.
Crowds cheered as the Canadian contingent left Capetown for the front. Governor Milner bid farewell at the railway station while officers were presented to him. Soldiers sang the national anthem and a company of Canadians boarded amid medical checks. The contingent will join The Black Watch and Seaforth Highlanders in action.

The correspondent condemns English soldiers as brutes, noting about 90 men allegedly faced 300 earlier in the action.

Some bodies were buried or used as mules to Jacobsdal where wounded were taken. Albrecht’s wagon used as pharmacy and surgery was captured. Enemy losses surpassed ours and morale shaken.

He asserts the Bribery charges are false, vows to contest the matter before U S senators, and accuses opponents of a 12 year campaign to control state politics and public interests.

Musk and Cabittan areas inland beyond Panases extend thirty five miles north of Molle as villages surrender under White flag. Insurgents retreat to mountains. widespread organized fighting seen as unlikely.
